Fresh Water Fishing Report for:
Delaware Lakes, Ponds, Rivers and Upper Chesapeake Bay
Updated: July 24, 2005.

The Frog and Buzzbait Bite Is On!!

All the Sussesx County lakes and ponds that have a good deal of pads are producing bass from 2-5 pounds on Snag Proof Tournament Frogs and Sumo frogs,

The water temperatures are in the low 80's and the bass were all fairly aggressive. Buzzbaits produced good numbers of bass from 5-9 am and then the frog bite took over.

It is not uncommon now to get 10-15 bass in a day on these baits with an occcassional trophy size bass of 5 pounds or better.

Even with air temperatures in the high eighties to low 90's the bass were actively feeding and aggressive in all the creeks with grass and pads.

Photos of several of these Sussex County bass taken on frogs and buzzbaits will be available in this report shortly and in the gallery after the classic is over.

Until next time, Tight lines Steve Delaware Tackle/Anglers Radio
